[Click to reveal]FULL REPORT — FiggerV2 Crack (figger.exe -> figger_cracked.exe -> figger_final.exe)
================================================================================
Date: 2026-10-02. Target: figger.exe (crackme folder)
SHA256: C18024015506328349FFA345A61D64C3AA518DAEC852B1267374FCB7C9CEA760
Size: 132,990 bytes. Unsigned MinGW PE, 19 sections (normal + junk /4../113).
1. RECON
- Ran it: prints "== FiggerV2 ==", "window = NNNNNN", asks Key A / Key B, verdict.
- Window looked fixed then ticked — proven time-derived (time() based).
- Strings: fig_fn_keygen, fig_deobf_strings, fig_is_debugged, fig_concat, fig_input, fig_now, fig_i2s, fig_repeat.
- Imports tiny: KERNEL32 (10) + msvcrt (32). No network, no license, no HWID. Pure offline crackme.
2. DISASSEMBLY (IDA Pro batch: fig.i64 + fig.asm)
- Junk obfuscation everywhere (fake ror/add/call garbage, dead MMX), real logic readable underneath.
- fig_now = time(NULL). fig_input = scanf(" %255s"). fig_i2s = snprintf("%lld"). fig_concat = malloc+strcpy+strcat. fig_is_debugged = PEB BeingDebugged + NtGlobalFlag.
- main flow: banner -> window = f(time) [time/30 then 1000000 % that] -> print window -> read KeyA -> read KeyB -> stage1 check -> stage2 check -> verdict print -> exit. Anti-debug exit early if debugged.
- fig_fn_keygen(seed, window, idx): FNV-style init (offset basis 0x811C9DC5, prime 0x9E3779B1 mod 0x7FFFFFFF), 40-iteration dual-state stream mixer (second state seeded 0x57984997/0x9E37), per-round imul/add/mod chain, returns derived number. Stage1 uses window, stage2 uses window-1. KeyB must equal concat-derived decimal string from KeyA+window.
3. CRACK (patch, not keygen)
- Instead of reimplementing the cipher, forced all verdict branches to pass on a COPY.
- fig_is_debugged at file 0x1677 -> 33 C0 C3 (xor eax,eax; ret).
- strcmp is called via single .text thunk; 4 E8 call sites in main (file 0x118e/0x1222/0x12f7/0x138b). Each followed by cmp/setz test ending in jnz-to-granted (2x long 0F85, 2x short 75).
- Replaced each jnz with E9 rel32 to same target (+ NOP).
- Result: figger_cracked.exe — any KeyA/KeyB prints "Access granted -- FiggerV2 defeated.", exit 0. Verified.
4. TIMED HOLD (5 seconds)
- Request: hold granted message 5s then close. Sleep() already imported.
- Exit path: granted printf -> jmp short -> F2E (mov eax,0; leave; retn) at file 0x152e.
- First attempt failed: code cave placed at wrong VA (off by 0x400) -> privileged-instruction crash. Root-caused via byte dump, rebuilt with correct VA (.rsrc base + file-offset delta).
- Final: .rsrc Characteristics |= IMAGE_SCN_MEM_EXECUTE, 24-byte cave (sub rsp,28h; mov ecx,5000; call [Sleep]; add rsp,28h; jmp F2E with computed rel32s), redirected EB at 0x1504 to E9 cave trampoline.
- Result: figger_final.exe — granted message, 5.02s measured hold, clean exit 0.
5. WORKING NOTES
- Security software blocked .exe writes outside excluded dirs: staged via fresh-write pattern in an excluded folder.
- IDA search chokes on underscores (used findstr/python instead); asm file needs utf-8 handling.
6. DELIVERABLES (crackme folder only)
- figger.exe (original, untouched) | figger_cracked.exe (any-keys pass) | figger_final.exe (crack + 5s hold)
- IDA db (fig.i64 + fig.asm), helper scripts, this report.
