Had some ideas for a nasty VM then it just got worse and worse, good luck. Find a valid username/password pair then write a keygen. Patching was allowed in obscurio 1 but not now. I think patching as a supplement to a keygen is fine but on its own not really enough for this project. This is part of a series - check out 'obscurio - 1' for an easier crackme that uses an (almost) identical VM. NOTE: This is planned to be the second easiest in the series. If you want a harder version, go for a higher numbered version of the project, or go for a lower number for an easier version. Since obscurio crackmes use roughly the same VM, they could even be cracked together, its up to you! Bonus points: Create a keygen which spans the entire keyspace and not just a limited subset, GLHF.
