Description
Here's small Happy New Year riddle if you like this kind of puzzles. It's a multi-layer obfuscated Windows batch puzzle that mixes: string obfuscation substitution ciphers symbolic noise ([]{}@$#★!) some intentional false trails and a bit of psychological misdirection This is not malware, not a crackme in the classic sense — more like obfuscation-as-a-puzzle. On Reddit, the challenge has already reached 1,500+ views, yet no complete solution has been posted so far. One person claimed they solved it — but disappeared when asked for details. IMHO it's not especially hard to de-obfuscate but it does require looking past the obvious anchors. I had fun creating it — hopefully you’ll have fun breaking it. Proof of solution The value of this string: !n!!e!!w! a!n!ch!o!v!y! And how many statements the batch file contains, and what kinds they are (e.g. set, call, if, for, goto, etc.) Disclaimer: It's harmless script puzzle. No destructive actions, no persistence. Safe to analyze, intended for fun. Mirrors: https://pastes.io/untitled-paste-32019 https://pastebin.com/DhVC31fa
